It’s hard to be a watchdog group. Being ever vigilant, but never getting a lot of the credit. Well, kudos to the people at RegisterFlies.com who’ve been tracking complaints about domain registrar RegisterFly.com. Their work hasn’t gone unnoticed, as a wave of news keeps hitting the Top 25 Registrar. Today, a Computer Business Review Online report alleges corruption by the registrar’s deposed chief executive including high-class escorts, liposuction, and a $6,000 chihuahua; plus this past month has seen a number of other news reports (see a partial list at RegisterFlies.com), as well as domain register heavy-hitter eNom deciding to terminate their reseller agreement with RegisterFly.com as a result of all the complaints. Bravo to RegisterFlies.com for helping to lead the charge, and stay tune to the news to see what develops, as The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) will likely investigate the matter as well.
