AboutUs front page tops 20 million pageviews

by Ted Ernst on 22 October 2008

20 million pageviews on AboutUs homepageYou may have noticed that I like to post the numbers from AboutUs. Some of them get smaller (which is good), like our Alexa ranking. Some of them get bigger (which is good), like our page count.

Our latest milestone is the total pageviews for our home page: twenty million (since we launched, a bit more than two years ago). Anyone remember what the number was when we first introduced the page views? Nick Burrus recalls 11 million, but that doesn’t seem right to me. Could we possibly have had 9 million pageviews on the front page in just a few months?

As an FYI, since August 2006 when we opened, we’ve had more than 220 million pageviews total. As with all these milestones, not sure what they mean, if they mean anything. I just like numbers with lots of zeros (or dropping digits when lower is better)!

Special thanks to Vartan for the image.
