At AboutUs, we’re not just trying to make our site innovative. We’re trying our best to make AboutUs a company that is growing and learning organically every day to the benefit of us and everyone we may meet. Reminding ourselves that wiki itself is about people, people, technology (and people), one way we accomplish this organizational goal is by welcoming interesting and informative folks to come visit us. Sometimes this means old friends, and sometimes it means brand new ones. But whichever, our goal is to see if we have some knowledge to exchange. After all, knowledge really does want to be free.
Today, we had the pleasure of having lunch with Elisabeth Hendrickson (in addition to having her join us for our weekly yoga session!) Elisabeth is well-known as an expert in software testing and Agile development, and our dev team had a great conversation with her about these areas of our work.
The only unfortunate part of this great day is that you couldn’t take part. Though you might not have been able to join us and Elisabeth, our ever-inventive CTO Ward Cunningham recently launched his Lightning Interviews project. These are folks he’s welcomed in to AboutUs personally for a morning or an afternoon to perhaps have lunch, and to conduct the interview version of a lightning talk. The first several in the series feature (in no particular order)…
So far participants have had some very complimentary things to say about Ward and the project, and we hope these videos as much fun for you to watch as they are for us to make. Look for more Lightning Interviews from Ward soon!
