We at AboutUs can’t wait for summer, and it’s not because we miss the sun (well, not just because we miss it.) No, we’re excited because from June 17-19th, Open Source Bridge will happen.
Open Source Bridge is a conference for open source citizens, and aims to connect developers across projects, languages, and experience. In addition to a goodly portion of our staff attending, our own Ward Cunningham will be giving a keynote.
In it’s inaugural year, Open Source Bridge promises to lead the pack of events that make Portland a mecca for open source. It’s 100% volunteer-run, and they’re doing an amazing job of bringing it all together. They’ll be cool features like a 24-hour hacker lounge at the Hilton and an ingenious five track structure.
So what are you waiting for? Proposal submissions are due March 31st, and registering before then ensures you get in on the early bird rate.

heh, I just got out of summer.(It was a pretty hot one, I’m happy it’s over).
Open Source bridge sounds very cool. The 24-hour hacker lounge sounds fun.
Hope you all have fun when it comes around.
