In February, we gave you a short introduction to Ward Cunningham’s Lightning Interviews project, where he does short interviews with various luminaries, friends and colleagues in the technology world. Many of the participants are guests at AboutUs, but he also has journeyed to Seattle and other locales for conferences recently, and done some great Lightning Interviews along the way.
One recent Lightning Interview we really enjoyed was with Eduardo Jezerski. Ward was up in Seattle for the ALT.NET conference, and got the chance to catchup with Eduardo. Ward had a fascinating conversation about Eduardo’s current work with InSTEDD, which deploys agile software tools for humanitarian work. Their flagship program has been in Cambodia with the Mekong Basin Disease Surveillance, building software that allows the MBDS to find and respond to emerging diseases sooner. It’s fascinating work from both a humanitarian and a development standpoint, and I recommend you take five minutes to watch.
