Venture Capital in Oregon, An Online Roundtable

by Steven Walling on 27 May 2009

This Friday at 9am, Mike Rogoway of Oregon Live’s Silion Forest blog will host an online roundtable on venture capital in Oregon.

As a response to some of the ideas brought up in the blog’s first chat session on startups, this conversation will bring together some of the leading voices from the Oregon venture community, including some from our investors, Capybara Ventures and Voyager Capital.

Subjects that are on the docket for this chat include:

  • How entrepreneurs should get started looking for funds, and mistakes to avoid
  • Microfunding
  • Perceptions of the Portland startup community, inside and outside of Oregon
  • The evolving venture capital business model

This should be a productive exploration of how Oregon can continue to foster a growing community of entrepreneurship. If startups are your passion, please join the chat or comment after.
