Description
Established in 1980, the park is composed of three alluvial islands in the middle of the Allegheny River (q.v.) northeast of Pittsburgh (q.v.). These islands are Twelvemile Island (q.v.), Fourteen Mile Island (q.v.), and an unnamed island (and five to seven occasionlly exposed shoals).
