Merge Category Tool
What (summary)
A tool to merge equivalent categories such as (example):
Pages containing any of these category tags would have them replaced by a single canonical category. This tool would be available to sysops only for now, and would require that we list the equivalent categories and pick one to consolidate into.
Why this is important
Eliminates redundancy. Establishes canonical categories
