Description

Located on the W edge of Haleakala Crater, 0.4 km (0.2 mi) NW of Magnetic Peak, 0.5 km (0.3 mi) E of the Maui Observation Station.

History

The name Puuulaula is used within the Haleakala NP for this feature and restores the traditional Hawaiian name which reportedly translates to "red hill".
