FactMonster.com is a fun way for kids to learn. This reference site is oriented towards kids ages 8-14 and combines a dictionary, encyclopedia, atlas and various almanacs to be full of useful facts, statistics and historical records. The site utilizes an easy search engine to help with fact finding for homework, information or reference needs, and can also be navigated by 10 different categories, including, “World & News,” “People,” “Sports,” and “Science.” The home page also has useful daily features including a spelling bee, daily word quiz, featured articles and a “This Day in History.” FactMonster.com is a companion site to Information Please, a reference site for everyone made by Pearson Education, the largest educational publisher in the world.
